Hello Arizona! Take A Tour Of Our Trip!

As most of you know we recently traveled to Arizona. IT WAS GORGEOUS! I have never seen any scenery quite like this. We did lots of hiking, one jeep tour, saw the Grand Canyon, and ate at some really nice restaurants. COVID-19 was shutting most tourist activities down so we mostly stuck to hiking and sitting out in the sun!

Monday March 16 - Friday March 20th

Most of the time was spent in Sedona, AZ. Thanks to VRBO we found a gorgeous house to stay in with an even better view. This picture was taken on our rooftop patio. Each morning Jake and I would get up and go for a walk in the little community and take it all in. I know this is so simple and small, but these morning walks with Jake were one of my favorite things.

On day two we went for a hike at Bell Rock. This hike was just shy of 3 miles and the views were gorgeous. This was my second favorite trail we hiked. It was pretty easy overall, some climbing but definitely worth it. Here we are hiking towards Bell Rock. I highly recommend the app AllTrails. That is how we found this trail and all the other ones we hiked.

Afterwards we went on our Off Road Jeep Tour. There are 6 different Jeep tour companies in Sedona, AZ. We choose to go with Mogollon Rim Off-Road Tour. Great decision! They did an amazing job and unlike Pink Jeep Tours, Mogollon actually takes you all the way up to the top of the mountain. Here we are at the top of the mountain over looking the city.

After the jeep tour we went to The Cowboy Club for dinner. I had the North American Bison Burger, which was delicious but their French fries were to die for! Jake had the Cowboy Platter which was basically a little bit of everything, Jake said the cornbread was his favorite.

On day three Jake and I went on my most favorite hike, Broken Arrow Trail. This trail was a challenge! We hiked up over 1,000 feet IN THE RAIN but it was all worth it. This picture was taken at the very top.

Day four was all about the Grand Canyon. It was amazing, the canyon just kept on going for miles and miles. It was a bit chilly since it was only 32 degrees and snowing the entire time but we still hiked about 500 feet down into the canyon.

After all of our adventures for the day we went to Butterfly Burger and had a delicious dinner. I had the Waco Kid Burger and Jake had the Funghi Sublime. If you love unique burgers I highly recommend this place. It is a bit fancier so it also is a great chance to dress up all cute!

Friday March 20 - Sunday March 22nd

Day 5 was a day of travel and hiking. We took a three hour hike up Doe Mountain, it was moderate. Some tough parts but for sure perfect for the one who loves adventure and rock climbing. Jake insisted he had to climb out the furthest out rock for a picture, yes I was having a mini heart attack the whole time.

After the long hike we were starving. We headed over to the Corner Table for lunch. Again, so good, I had the homemade Lentil & Wild Rice Vegan Burger. This was the first lentil burger I have ever had and it did not disappoint. Jake had the stuffed catfish with he loved! Any seafood that is stuffed he will eat! After lunch we drove up to San Tan Valley, AZ.

Day 6 and Day 7 we really did nothing much to be completely honest but it was exactly the perfect end to our vacation. We had a great house we found through VRBO as well. It was in a gated community, we had a little put-put course in our backyard and we could watch all the golfers on the big course drive by. I even made friends with our neighbors and got to play with their puppy! We spent the last two days sitting in the sun and taking in the warm weather.

Thank you so much for reading all about our trip!

Until next time.

XOXO

Danielle
